Open Water swimming is very different from training and competition in a pool environment. Before submitting your entry, you must discuss your potential entry with your squad coach. As well as completing the entry form online, each swimmer will need to print and complete the consent and medical declaration form, and hand this to their coach.

There are four distances available: 1km (£21 per entry), 2km, 3km and 5km (all £31 per entry).  The minimum ages (as at 31st December) to swim each event are:

1km - 11 years
2km - 12 years
3km - 13 years
5km - 13 years

In order to qualify to swim at the Swim England Nationals as the Regional event winners (the first three finishers in each of the named age groups and gender), swimmers must swim in the qualifying event for their age group. As such, we advise you to enter the national qualifying distance:

Senior Performance swimmers should check with their coach whether they should submit an entry to this meet or the Portsmouth Meet. The entry fee is £9.25 per event. A £1 admin fee per competitor will be added to the event total. Payment for entries will be processed through our Gala Direct Debit Scheme with GoCardless.

Qualifying are strict and all times must have been recorded on rankings within the permitted time frame.
